September 7, 2015

In the wee hours of Monday morning they tried to take Anna off of the CPAP, but found she was having to work too hard to breathe on her own, so they put her back on.

Lorissa was able to have some snuggle "skin to skin" time with Anna. What a precious little bundle!

She had an abdominal ultrasound to check on the status of her kidneys - as one had shown a little swollen before her birth. They also had an ultrasound of her head to check for bleeding in the brain - which showed a very minor bleed (normal for premature babies).

She started feeds of breast milk by feeding tube - 1ml every 2 hours.

In the evening hours - she had to start sun tanning - to reduce her bilirubin levels.

Ryan moved over to the Ronald McDonald house and shared some supper with Lorissa as her hospital dinner was terrible! What a blessing the Ronald McDonald House is!

"I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well."
